Introduction

Welcome to "In the Feast Kitchen."  While originally conceived as a fund raiser for the Barony of Bhakail in the East Kingdom, the first edition editor had another purpose in mind.  The second goal of this cookbook was to be a "how to" for new cooks in the The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).   Any one with the ambition, need, and reasonable talent in the kitchen should be able to create a feast using the pages contained herein.

You will find a wide variety of dishes to serve and many other useful pages.  In particular, you will want to explore the Useful Other page.

A word or two about how the site is organized.  All the recipes, the Title Page, and the entries in Useful Other are in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.  This was done for a number of reasons.  The first was to preserve the integrity of the recipes.  The second was to make it possible for you to print out individual recipes to be used in a feast kitchen.  If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader fear not.  Its free and immediately below you will find a link to the Adobe website for a free download.  This link will open a separate window.  Just follow the directions therein, and when complete, close the window.  You will still be in the cookbook.  All other pages, including pdf, will respond to your browsers back button.  After you open the first such page Adobe should remain active in the background and any recipes after that will open like any other web page.

On the left you will find a navigation bar.  Everything except the "Title Page" link will take you to a secondary page.  The title page is a stand alone Adobe Acrobat printable page.  (See above.)
